July Fine Collector's sale

Our recent Numismatic, Toys, Silver & Jewellery sale finished on Sunday. Among many good prices the first to note is the Diamond solitare ring which had lots of interest in the preview and on the day made £3,400. It had wear to the ring shank but then it was a small size in any case so would need altering which highlights the beauty of an auction: it's a very prety ring with a nice clean stone, elegantly set off with sapphires and a classy Deco look and, even with the cost of alteration, will produce a unique ring at a fraction of the cost of a new one. There was a great looking Gold and Citrine necklace in its case that made £320 and a Mickey Mouse watch, which wasn't running, made a mid estimate £160. Among the toys a Dinky Austin Somerset Saloon, number 161, made £140 and an Bryan's 'Elevenses, Penny in the Slot' machine made £850. Among the medals a set of Elizabeth II medals (General service medal 1962-2007 South Atlantic medal with rosette to 24530942 GNR S.P Thackeray RA) made £420.

We are busy posting sold items out and, of course, taking in for the next sale. We are happy to see you and discuss your items any weekday between 9:00-3:00.
