Silverwoods Auction
/ Categories: Other News

We start the year with the return of our Rediscovery sale, in its new guise. It is now a monthly sale and, due to the present lockdown, we had to conduct this first one on-line only; most bizarre with Wilf selling to a microphone and a computer terminal, still with his usual patter and repartee. It was a useful proving ground for our new in-house auction bidding platform, which will provide an extra service for our customers. This chest made £170, suggesting an improvement in brown furniture that we also saw in the December sale and an Old Charm bar made £160.

Coming up this month we have the Architectural Salvage, Rural & Domestic Bygones sale, which already has over 100 lots and at the end of the month we have our first special sale of 2021, the Silver, Metalware & Jewellery sale on the 31st January. Entries for this sale are now closed, the catalogue will be published on on the 20th.

Looking forward to February we have the monthly Rediscovery and Architectural Salvage, Rural & Domestic Bygones sales and at the end of the month is the bimonthly Fine Art & Antiques sale.
We are still accepting entries for all of these sales.

Despite the lockdown, we remain open for business on a 'Click & Collect' basis in line with safe practice, make an appointment to drop items off or collection and, of course, we are hear to help with valuations; our valuers are available to speak with you on weekdays from 9:00-2:00 (01200 423322) or e-mail anytime.
