As 2020 closes we thank or customers for their support through the weirdest year. It has not been easy but we ended the year with two good sales and a great sales program for 2021, along with a new approach which includes the use of our own on-line bidding platform. Registration and use is straightforward, allowing you to see our catalogues, search easily and leave bids or enjoy the thrill of bidding live. We look forward to this making our sales more accessible to our customers.
The final Fine Art Sale of the year had good results with a pair of mid century floor standing speakers by Lowther making £1,900 and further good news for mid-century design, a McIntosh & Co sideboard and a matching table and chairs made £980 between them, other good furniture was a good looking queen Anne walnut chest of drawers that reached £750. A Royal Worcester pot pourri made £900, a Royal Doulton Bunnykins Sergeant Mountie made £450 and an Art Deco tea service made £800.
The Special sale of Champagnes, Ports and Wine had success with, among others, two bottles of Moet et Chandon Cuvee Dom Perignon 1971 making £300 and 4 bottles of Fonsecca's Finest 1970 Vintage port making £300.
