Information for Buyers

Method of Auction

Silverwoods will conduct auctions in the following ways:

Timed Internet online

The catalogue for the Fine Art and Antiques auction is on approximately two weeks before the sale. Please note if you are bidding via, you will need to register with the-saleroom prior to the sale.

If you are successful, you will be contacted and you can arrange collection yourself or our in-house department can arrange postage and packing of items if needed.

Viewing of Lots

Silverwoods will now be placing emphasis on the display of lots in auction catalogues creating an emporium, a galleria of antiques, furniture and fine art within exhibition 'rooms'. Vendors, therefore, can be assured their items are displayed in the best way and for buyers to see items in context; rather than merely on racks. In 2021 we will be moving to viewing periods on various weekdays, when customers can see for themselves the next catalogue developing with new lots.

Please contact reception for further details of public viewing times on the days preceding each sale.
