If you want to bid in person at any of our sales, you need to register in the office for a bidder's number. Your details will go on our system and you will be issued a 'paddle' - a piece of paper with your number on it. If you wish to bid on an item, hold it up clearly so the auctioneer can see your number.
We highly recommend that you view any sale before bidding - either in person or via a commission bid in our weekly rediscovery sales or, additionally on the phone or internet for the bimonthly Fine Art and Antiques Auction.
For items in the weekly Rediscovery sale, there is a listing on our website from Tuesday afternoon and viewing from 8am on the morning of sale. You can bid in person and collect your items on the day once paid for. If you have left a successful commission bid, you will be contacted and collection arrangements made.
The catalogue for the bimonthly Fine Art and Antiques auction is on the website and the-saleroom.com approximately two weeks before the sale. For information and timing of booking commission and telephone bids, please see our Auction Information leaflet or the Key Dates section of the website. Please note if you are bidding via the-saleroom.com, you will need to register with the site prior to the sale. If you are successful, you will be contacted and we can arrange postage and packing of items if needed.
There is a listing for the Rural Bygones auction on our website two weeks before the sale. Most customers choose to stay for the sale, but commission bids can be left on the same basis as our other auctions and items taken away once paid for.
